What is Microblading?
Microblading involves making small hair-like strokes on the brow bone with a tiny angled blade made of a row of even tinier needles. To create the chosen look, the esthetician uses the hand-held tool to penetrate and puncture the skin with the color most suitable for the client. The result is a series of fine strokes that resemble natural hair.
Results generally last 1-3 years.
What to Expect with Microblading?
Microblading is similar to a tattoo procedure, but a lighter level. We numb the area and place the desired pigment for eyeliner, eyebrows, or beauty mark into the skin for a long-lasting beauty enhancement.
A 6-8 week touch up from the initial procedure is included.

Is Microblading Safe?
Since it is a semi-permanent procedure, many people wonder if microblading is safe. You can rest assured that as long as you go to an experienced esthetician, you have nothing to worry about.
Because the procedure punctures the skin and leaves pigment, the biggest risk with this procedure is the same risk with tattooing: a slight chance for infection.
The best way to decrease any risks is simply ensuring you get the procedure done by a technician who has plenty of experience with permanent makeup and has a clean workspace with the proper equipment.
Who Can Get Microblading or Permanent Makeup?
Most people are good candidates for microblading, and the esthetician will determine if you are a candidate during a consultation. It is important that you accurately complete an intake form providing your medical history, including all medications.
While microblading is typically recommended for those with sparse, thin eyebrows, individuals with fuller brows can still benefit. In that case, the esthetician will simply enhance what is already there. However, people with thin brows and people who suffer from alopecia will notice remarkable results.
The process is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breastfeeding. It is also not ideal for people who suffer from rosacea, eczema, keloids, or who are on certain medications.
Recovery from Microblading
There is minimal to no downtime associated with the microblading treatment. It is normal to experience slight itching, swelling, and redness at the site, and you will need to avoid scratching your brows or direct sunlight. To achieve lasting results, it is imperative to follow the esthetician’s directions for aftercare carefully and schedule a touch-up session 6-8 weeks after your initial appointment.
