Injectable Fillers

RADIESSE®

Radiesse® is a safe, FDA-approved dermal filler that restores a natural, youthful look that lasts longer than the former leading filler. This convenient treatment fills and corrects smile lines, Nasolabial folds and wrinkles around the nose and mouth. Radiesse® is made of unique calcium-based microspheres suspended in a natural gel that is injected into the skin through a simple, safe and minimally invasive procedure.

RESTYLANE®

Restylane® is designed to smooth wrinkles, sculpt lips and shape facial contours. It is a clear gel composed of hyaluronic acid, a natural substance that is found throughout your body. This synthetic acid carries no risk of allergic reaction. The most common areas for treatment are the glabellar lines (between the eyebrows) and the nasolabial folds (from the root of the nose to the angle of your mouth). With its unique ability to bind with water, Restylane remains in your skin for many months.

JUVEDERM™

Juvederm™ Injectable Gel is a “next generation” dermal filler. The smooth consistency gel helps to instantly restore your skin’s volume and smooth away facial wrinkles and folds. Juvederm™ is made of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in your skin that helps to add volume and hydration. The physician eases Juvderm™ injectable gel under the skin to provide a smooth, natural look and feel.

SCULPTRA

Sculptra™ is a synthetic injectable biochemical material composed of Polylactic acid. Polylactic acid is biocompatible (it does not harm the body) and biodegradable (able to be disposed of by the body). It has been used for many years in absorb-able sutures.

Sculptra™ works by stimulating collagen production by the skin’s own fibroblasts, thereby thickening the skin. Thus, it can be used to correct certain cosmetic problems such as loss of fat in the cheeks and temples, under-eye circles, mid and lower facial wrinkles, folds and furrows. It will not stop fat loss nor its cause, but it will correct deformities caused by fat loss resulting from aging, HIV lipoatrophy and other medical conditions.

Sculptra™ is injected under the skin during a 20-30 minute office procedure. The pain of the procedure can be minimized by a topical anesthetic cream or by local anesthesia. Usually 3 treatments at 1 month intervals are necessary. The correction lasts 1 1/2 to 2 years.
